NHS Sussex: Improving Lives Together event

By KSS YPAG,

Some members of the Young People’s Advisory Group, Kent Surrey & Sussex attended the NHS Sussex ‘Improving Lives: Young People’s Annual Conversation’ on Saturday 1st March, in Brighton. The event included several youth groups from across the county and involved group discussions on:

  • Access to and experiences of GP services.
  • Moving from children’s health services to adult health services.
  • The unfair differences between how groups of people access and experience healthcare because of who they are or where they live (health inequalities).
  • Improvements in mental health, learning disabilities and autism services.

Topics were selected by attendees. This was followed by a Q&A session with health and care providers and Stephen Lightfoot, the chair of NHS Sussex.
