VoiceIn Young People’s Advisory Group, also known as YPAG, is made up of young people based across the UK, supporting the delivery of the VoiceIn platform and research project.
VoiceIn YPAG is a group of 10-12 young people, aged between 16 and 25. The group meets at least every two months over the span of the current UKRI Medical Research Council funding grant for the VoiceIn research project.
The YPAG provides independent oversite, reviews the work packages progress and recent updates, and advises on the VoiceIn project direction.
The group is chaired by the VoiceIn Co-Investigators – Amelia Dupuy and Eden Byrne.
Here are some of the activities the VoiceIn YPAG has been involved in:
VoiceIn is a mobile app and digital research platform that makes it easier for people to be included in health research. It enables members of the public to contribute to research ideas in a quick and simple way.
VoiceIn was co-designed with and by young people to encourage long-term commitment, confidence, and engagement with health research.
VoiceIn is a national initiative, led by the University of Manchester, funded by the UKRI Medical Research Council and NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Greater Manchester.

The VoiceIn app and researcher platform have been developed through a co-design process involving young people, researchers, and public contributors since 2020. Following extensive development, testing, and refinement, both platforms were officially launched in April 2025.
