A London YPAG meeting: A brand new animation about the genome & more

By London YPAG,

Hi guys,

Hope you are all well. We had another fabulous time at the YPAG meeting in March 2017, with some researchers from Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) attending and discussing some of their new research ideas like LUCY.

The LUCY study or project, is a mental health service for young people. The researchers asked us for our views on a booth or pod design and information material for a mental-health study to help people with anxiety, anger issues, as well as learning disabilities.

We also watched an animation about The Genome Sequence, that YPAG helped to create. This is the link to watch the video; https://youtu.be/sn3_FlEbe0U

We have had great feedback from the researchers we have met in the past few months, such as from Novartis and Roche, and our views and comments has helped in the design of their research/study and projects.

To end the day, we had lunch with GOSH’s Young Person’s Forum (YPF), (a group just like YPAG) at the March meeting.

See you soon.
